Oxford Baptist Chapel has been given the command of Jesus Christ to take the Gospel to everyone in our community and beyond. It is our firm conviction that people do not only need to hear the Gospel in a church service, but they need to hear the good news at their work place, at school, and in everyday life. As believers, we must continually be GOING with the glorious Gospel.
We have weekly times to meet together and organise to go out and tell those in our community about the Lord Jesus Christ. There is always something happening at OBC that allows us to kindly and respectfully share the wonderful Gospel with anyone who will listen!

Wednesday Sword Club
The Sword Club meeting is held each Wednesday at 5.00 and is an opportunity for children to learn the great stories of the Bible and to hide God’s Word in their hearts. We have taken Hebrews 4v12 as our theme verse, hence the name 'Sword' Club. Please pray that God would work in the hearts of these precious children and that they would come to know Christ as their Saviour. We are so thankful that God has given us this great opportunity and are asking His wisdom and guidance in everything we do. Sunday School Each Sunday we have a special time where children are taught lessons and songs that honour God's Word, the Bible. We often have exciting review quizzes and special promotions throughout the year. Open Air Outreach Saturday's are exciting for those at OBC, as each Saturday we hold the Open Air Outreach at the city centre. We leaflet and preach in the centre from 1.00 p.m. – 3.00 p.m. God has greatly blessed this ministry and OBC has seen many visitors via leaflets distributed during the Open Air Outreach. More importantly, people have been presented with the wonderful message of Salvation through Jesus Christ! Young Adults Bible Study On Thursday evenings we meet with a group of university aged young people for a time of prayer and Bible study. For more information regarding the times and location, please send a request here. Youth Rally Most Friday evenings there is an exciting Youth Rally hosted by OBC! There are brilliant sports, great food, a helpful Bible study, and, of course, great fellowship. This evening is definitely a highlight for the youth of Oxford Baptist Chapel. Generally we meet at 'The Field' unless we are doing some kind of outing. Mums & Tots Friday Mornings at 9.00 am to 11.00 when school is in session! An encouraging time of fellowship with other mothers as the children play. There is also always a time for the children with age appropriate crafts, activities, singing and short lesson.
